A NEW BEGGING!

Love vs. Fear

A Course in Miracles teaches us that there are only two states of consciousness. That all things stem from either a state of love or fear. If you take the time to think about this you will realize that this is true. The best way that I have found to recognize the difference between these two states is the different feelings that each produces. Love is always expansive, fear contractive. Love is always giving, fear is always taking. Love embraces all, fear separates. You can also see these two states in body language. Love manifests in an open stance. Fear leads to folding arms and legs.

God is love. God is joy. God is life. Fear is death. Fear is sadness and depression. What I find truly amazing is that fear does not exist. That is it has no substance. Fear is found in being rooted in the past or future, whereas love is based on the now. If you watch your thoughts you might be both surprised and disturbed to find how much time is spent thinking/living in the past or future. From this state, life passes by while we live in a state of never, never land. Both the past and the future do not exist. All that exists is now! It is impossible to be anything but love when living in the now. It is impossible to operate from fear when living in the past or future.

This might strike you as nonsense, but take the time to actually think about this. Watch what you think and ask yourself is this thought based upon the now or past/future? With consistent practice you might find that your life is much happier and peaceful, and isn’t that what we all truly desire?

Love
